It's the first of April, there are signs of spring arriving and we are in corona shutdown. The perfect time to start your own vegetable growing!

Have you already got packets of seed ready and waiting? Or are you not sure where to start?

First of all, if you don't have seeds or plants already, it has become a bit tricky to just go out and get them. You can buy seeds if you are going to Lidls or Tescos anyway, but nurseries and garden centres have probably closed down for the time being. There are lots of mail order companies, such as DT Browns, but they are experiencing a backlog dealing with orders just now. But don't worry, the sowing season for many vegetables lasts through April and May.

You can also order plug plants by post although this can be quite an expensive way to grow your own produce.
